Santeria is a song about a jealous ex-boyfriend that fantasizes about getting his ex-girlfriend back (heina) and killing her current boyfriend (sancho). In Mexico, a man who steals another man's girl is often referred to as "el Sancho" and a man's woman or girlfriend is referred to as "heina."
