Style Guide
This is an attempt to answer some questions about style through the wiki. Feel free to debate any of the proposals. The end result should be something that makes the use of the site as simple as possible.
=== Quoting Lyrics ===
When quoting a snippet of a lyric, use the following.
- italics on (two single ticks)
- a double-quote (")
- the lyric quote
- a double-quote
- italics off (two single ticks)
The end result should be written ''"Something like this"'' and look "Something like this"
=== Song Template ===
A song template exists under the link Song Template. Insert this template into your page by typing {{subst:song}} and hitting save. You can then edit the page again to fill in the template.
=== Album Template ===
An album template exists under the link Album Template. Insert this template into your page my typing {{subst:album}} and hitting save. You can then edit the page again to fill in the template.
=== Lyrics ===
Start with {{Lyrics Header|[[Insert Artist's Name]]|[[Insert Year Released]]}}<pre class="lyrics-table"> at the top of the page and put the lyrics under it. At the bottom of the page, put </pre>{{Lyrics Footer}} This helps preserve the line breaks and maintains a constant style for the pages.

When writing or editing a page, link everything than can be, or should be linked on the first appearance of a term. Do not link subsequent appearances of the term. Don't be shy in making links. That's the power of the wiki.
