- In the fall Bradley Nowell's father loans him $1000 and the recordings for 40oz. To Freedom begins. Though Michael Happoldt recounts that the money was raised to make the recordings "by any means necessary". By this time, Marshall 'Ras MG' Goodman has stepped in on drums. The album is basically Sublime's set at the time. Except, Bradley Nowell writes Right Back and 40oz. To Freedom on the spot and records them the next day.
